Fruit, Flower & Foliage: Pear bookmark

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello everyone, this time I show you a fruity bookmark to inspire you for our current challenge Fruit, Flower and Foliage. (Click for information and how to participate!) :-)

I used just one stamp: one of the beautiful CV Squares, Pear Square. Oh how I love that amazing squares! I stamped it several times onto an inked (Distress) background with black StazOn ink. I bleached the pears and leaves with pure bleach, let them dry well and coloured the card with colour pencils. I finished with a white gelpen and sponged the edges with black ink.

Hope we will see your fruity artwork! :-)
See you soon, hugs,
LiesbethXX

Whack A Kitty

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!!  Gail here today with a fun card for the new Fruit, Flowers and Foliage challenge.   I've made a twister card using Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat, Large Shrubbery Background and ATC Doodle Flower stamps.  So much fun!!!!!
I made this card to send as part of the Card Chain Challenge, an international card exchange.  I based the card on all the options so we have the colours and sketch, a cat with a moustache using scraps, a twister card and friendship.  Of course, I used Lost Coast Designs stamps featuring flowers and foliage and cats.
I started with a white 5" x 7" card base, stamped the Large Shrubbery Background with Hero Arts Ocean ink on both sides of the inside of the card and scored the left hand side in the middle.
I stamped Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat using sepia ink on a piece of kraft pizza box and the other one on a piece of kraft ice cream box.  I fussy cut the cats, inked around the edges and onto the back and stuck them together with a bit of string between them.  This isn't a totally symmetrical stamp, but it's pretty close, so a little gently trimming and inking and the cat is ready to twist!
I cut an aperture using a die across the fold in the left hand side of the card and glued the string along the scored line positioning the cat centrally in the aperture.   Fold the half panel back on itself and glue well, especially the string.
I die cut the moustaches and green circles from card scraps.  I stamped the large flower from Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Flower three times on some purple scraps, fussy cut the flowers and added all these elements to the card.
Opening the card reveals the Carmen's Veranda sentiment, made up from two different stamps, on the green circle.  And if you have wound up your cat you also get him twirling.
How fun is that!!!

Join the Fruit, Flower and Foliage challenge with your fruity and floral stamped anythings.  I can't wait to see what you make.  Hugz

Bright and Cheerful Flying Pig!

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Greetings! It's Kathi here to share a bright and cheerful scenic card created with the Cityscape Small and Flying Pig 2 Rubber Stamps!

I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Cityscape Small and Flying Pig 2 twice — once onto a white cardstock image panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.

Copic markers were used to color both the Cityscape Small and Flying Pig 2. The sticker paper versions were fussy-cut and placed over their counterparts on the image panel as masks.

Yellow ink was brushed over the masked cityscape. Pink ink was brushed across the image panel over the yellow ink and upwards. Blue ink was brushed over the top of the image panel and the masked pig. A lighter blue was brushed over the bottom part of the blue ink and downwards over the pink ink.

The masks were lifted, the image panel was trimmed, and edged with a black pigment marker.

The image panel was matted with black cardstock and then adhered to a blue A6 card.

You still have time to create a Bright and Cheerful card, post it, and join our January Challenge!

Thanks for visiting today!
